Accompanying program within international glass exhibition Stanislav Libenský Award 2013
First – theoretical part shows students how beautiful and playful glass as the material is. They will see the objects of glass school graduates from all over the world, from United States to Japan. Students can learn, what all can be done with glass and learn about the glass characteristics and productions techniques, and also discover different kinds of glass from household glassware form to art form.
Second – practical part presents techniques of glass production in foyer and students can try by themselves the production process of bead technique and Tiffany technique.
Bead technique represents to the students how unique objects can glassmakers made from glass jewellery.
Students can also try to make their own jewellery under the direction of lecturers from The High School of Applied Arts for Glassmaking in Železný Brod.
